Statements by Mohammad Hossein Baqeri, Head of the Iqbal Forum, in an interview with Pakistan’s 365 News channel:

1. Pakistan’s role and the threat of “Greater Israel”
Baqeri believes Pakistan has significant capacity to mediate and help stop the imposed war on Iran by the United States and Israel through diplomacy. He noted that he is in contact with various Pakistani officials who are working to manage the crisis.
He warned that the “Greater Israel” project, aimed at expanding influence from the Nile to the Euphrates, threatens not only Iran but also Pakistan and other Islamic countries, and Pakistan must understand this strategic reality and prepare to confront it.

2. Iran’s defense capabilities and strategy
He emphasized that all of Iran’s defense capabilities have been developed based on the strategic vision of Iran’s late leader to counter the expansionism of Israel and the United States. According to him, after 17 days of conflict, Iran has successfully thwarted American and Israeli plans in the region.

3. Iran’s conditions for ending the conflict
Baqeri outlined two main conditions:

• Compensation for damages: The United States must compensate for all damages caused by its attacks on Iran; otherwise, Iran will recover these losses itself.
• Removal of military bases: The U.S. must dismantle its military bases in neighboring countries that are used for operations against Iran.

4. Divisions within Western allies
He pointed to emerging disagreements between the U.S. and its traditional allies such as Germany, Spain, Italy, and the United Kingdom. He believes these countries have realized that the U.S. may sacrifice them for its own interests.
He added that contrary to U.S. claims, Iran has become stronger, and its missile and drone capabilities remain robust.

5. Control over the Strait of Hormuz and economic pressure
Baqeri stated that Iran has maintained strategic control over the Strait of Hormuz without firing a shot. This has led to rising global prices and significant economic concerns, even drawing reactions from the United Kingdom.

6. Strategic patience and cultural resilience
In conclusion, he referred to cultural symbols such as Persian carpet weaving—which can take decades—and traditional cooking, to describe the patience of the Iranian people. He recalled Iran’s eight-year resistance during the war with Iraq and stated that this resistance will continue until the United States and Israel realize the high cost of attacking Iran.
