The Islamic Republic, based on the fatwa of the late Ayatollah Seyed Ali Khamenei, was not pursuing the development o nuclear bomb. However, the aggression by Israel and the United States against Iranian territory with the aim of regime change may lead the new leader of Iran to order the development of a nuclear weapon for military deterrence.

After more than two weeks, the United States and Israel have failed to achieve their objectives of regime change, destruction of missile cities, or seizure of enriched uranium.

The longer the war continues, the more it will be to the disadvantage of the United States and to the advantage of Iran. The Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps still firmly controls the Strait of Hormuz, and the Houthi group in Yemen may soon take control of the Bab al-Mandeb Strait. In that case, global energy prices will rise significantly and create an energy shortage worldwide.

Trump’s contradictory statements indicate that he lacks the ability to manage the war. In his new position, he has asked countries such as the United Kingdom and even China to deploy military forces to keep the Strait of Hormuz open.

The United States and Israel attacked Iran under the accusation of developing a nuclear bomb, while the Islamic Republic was cooperating with the International Atomic Energy Agency. The objective of Tel Aviv and Washington, as they have acknowledged, is regime change in Iran to pave the way for the realization of “Greater Israel from the Nile to the Euphrates.”
