Objectives of Iran’s missile strikes (Operation True Promise 4)

Focus on military targets: Baqeri stated that so far, the main focus of Iran’s attacks has been Israel’s military infrastructure.

Retaliatory strategy: He emphasized that Iran is currently refraining from striking critical civilian infrastructure, but if Israel or its allies attack Iranian infrastructure, Iran will respond in kind by targeting banks, economic centers, and their infrastructure.

Operational capability: He believes targeting Israel is not difficult for Iran, as Israel’s geographical size is much smaller than Iran’s, and Iran’s heavy one-ton warhead missiles can easily destroy such targets.

Internal situation and national resolve in Iran

Public support: He said that despite losses, the Iranian people support continued resistance, and the national sentiment is that even if buildings are destroyed, they will be rebuilt, but national dignity must not be compromised.

Pressure against ceasefire: Baqeri noted that public opinion inside Iran is pressuring the government not to accept any ceasefire until firm guarantees are obtained and the enemy is decisively punished.

Technical and military analysis (air defense penetration)

Failure of air defense systems: He stated that the number of US and Israeli interceptor missiles in the region is decreasing.

Missile stockpiles: Baqeri claimed that Iran possesses large stockpiles of heavy missiles and, due to domestic production, can manufacture a significant number of missiles daily, enabling long-term warfare capability.

Leadership and nuclear policy

Crisis management: He rejected rumors about the poor health of the new leadership and said Iran’s governance system is designed so that even under severe conditions, military and political structures continue to function independently and in coordination.

Possible change in nuclear doctrine: Baqeri noted that although there is a religious fatwa against nuclear weapons, in the event of a serious threat to the survival of the system and failure of conventional deterrence, this policy may be reconsidered. He believes experience has shown that global powers are more likely to pursue regime change in countries without nuclear weapons.

He stated that Iran’s ultimate goal is to end the cycle of “war, negotiation, ceasefire, and war again.” Iran seeks to deliver a lesson to its adversaries so that they no longer dare to threaten or attack Iranian territory.
