Bagheri stated that Israeli warplanes have bombed the Assembly of Experts building in Qom, the Presidential Office, and the National Security Council in Tehran. He said the objective of Israel is to disrupt the process of selecting Iran’s next leader, but they do not realize that the Islamic Republic and the Iranian people are fully determined to confront such aggression.
He added that negotiations between the United States and Iran were progressing in the right direction, and Iran had shown considerable flexibility on uranium enrichment. He said that Israel attacked the leadership compound at a time when final and technical talks on Iran’s enrichment flexibility were scheduled to take place in Vienna. According to him, both the United States and Israel are pursuing regime change in Iran, and this has now become clear to the world.
Bagheri further stated that the United States will end the war once it sees increasing casualties among its soldiers.
He praised Pakistan’s efforts to stop the war and noted that Iran is only targeting U.S. interests in Gulf countries, while Israel and the United States are trying to draw Arab countries into the conflict.
The head of the Iqbal Think Tank emphasized that the Islamic Republic of Iran is the last obstacle to Israel’s “Greater Israel” project, and if this objective is achieved, countries such as Syria, Jordan, Saudi Arabia, and Egypt could face fragmentation.
Bagheri also stated that Iran is self-sufficient in meeting its domestic needs in economic, medical, and defense sectors, and has the capability to sustain a year-long war against the United States and Israel, while those two can only continue the conflict for a few weeks.
